This week students are learning the BCE/CE dating system, starting a project, and going on a field trip. Question for Shabbat dinner: What’s your favorite object you saw at the Yale Art Gallery?
Tefillah has been especially lovely this week! The students are learning niggunim for Elul.
This week Caleb performed on the electric guitar for the class! Then, because it was theory day, we worked on learning rhythm notes, rests, and even dove into dotted notes. The award winner of the week was Miriam for her thoughtfulness and creativity!
In Art, the students finished their cave drawings, using wrinkled upcycled brown paper and chalk pastels. They worked outside on the pavement to get the feel of what it would be like to draw on rock.
