We studied a sugiyah from the Talmud about Hillel and Shammai’s different views about lighting the Chanukiyah. We also focused on the rabbis’ recognition that there are different levels of observance.
Tuesdays have morphed into “Stump the rabbi” and I survived both weeks. I will be calling on local rabbis to help me out for some of these sessions!
In art class, the students finished up their unit on the human body by learning how to draw a portrait. This also supported what they were learning in science and social studies.
