Thanksgiving Week in Kochavim

For Thanksgiving, the first and second graders made hanging accordion fruit which challenged them in a folding exercise, while also teaching them about warm colors. We have worked in clay to make acorns in which we experimented in color mixing. They also made a pumpkin mosaic and worked on their fine motor skills by ripping paper. They created corn kernels on their corn by dot painting using chopsticks and they made a color wheel pizza. In collaboration with what they are learning in social studies, the students made a picture of different landforms by cutting them out of paper. Since Thanksgiving is coming, they painted paper using three different techniques and cut feathers out of those paintings to create a turkey.
